The main role of the Public Affairs
section is to act as SSM’s main communication
channel to external parties and the public and as a
communication centre for the media. In addition, this
section also plans, organises and manages events and
publicity programmes, promotions and continuous education
towards inculcating good corporate governance practices.
As SSM’s main communication centre, it is this
department’s responsibility to set up and establish
a good and intimate network of cooperation with the
media, industries, associations as well as local and
international regulatory bodies.
In channelling quality information to the public, the
two main media used are publishing corporate information
through print and electronic means.
To ensure that the strategic implementation of the section
and SSM’s programs are implemented well, this
section is divided, according to their specific functions,
into two units, that is:
- Public Relations Unit
- Event Management Unit
